Apple iPad: Down & Dirty!

As many of you are aware, the Apple iPad was introduced this morning at 10:00 PST by none other than Steve Jobs.  Apple once again is aiming to revolutionize the industry with a ground breaking product.  Although the Apple iPad looks like the big sister to the iPod Touch or iPhone, there is more there than meets the eye:

• Specs include a 9.7-inch, LED-backlit, IPS display.  Multi-Touch screen, 1.5 lbs and 0.5 inches thin.
• Models include 16GB, 32GB, or 64GB.
• Processor is a 1GHz Apple A4 custom design chip.
• Prices start at $500, 3G is an extra $130 (plus $30/mo AT&T data plan).

• iPad can run almost 140,000 of the apps in the App Store.
• If you currently have an iPod Touch or iPhone, you will not have to re-purchase your Apps.
• WiFi models shipping in late March, with 3G models shipping in April.
