Mortal Kombat 2011

As an avid fan of Mortal Kombat since its inception, I am always excited yet cautioned of a new MK release.  The new MK title which is being launched in Spring 2011 looks to bring the franchise back into the limelight.

As always, there will be PLENTY of blood and gore to keep MK fans happy.  The gameplay will focus on a nice 2D fighting system with a 3D polish.  Returning for battle (so far) are Scorpion, Mileena, Reptile, Sub Zero, Kung Lao, Johnny Cage, Nightwolf and Sektor.

New features include physics based blood, x-ray move (which zooms into an x-ray of an opponents bones breaking) and classic arenas such as Dead Pool and Living Forest, among others.  Check out the videos:
